If I had time and space, I would buy this music

Note, these next artists are not my usual contemplative worship musicians that I love. They are contemplative, they are musicians... and everything else in between. Some are signed to Christian labels, most aren't. JoelR this is for you too...

The most fun part of these musicians is I can never usually remember where or when I first heard them, they just grabbed my attention.

Cary Brothers - Ride http://www.myspace.com/carybrothers

Paper Route - I feel like I'm watching a movie with these guyshttp://www.myspace.com/paperroute

Kenna.. who has a bit of a rap/pop/alt feel. I took note of him and his story in the amazing book Blink ('The way he was discovered and the obstacles he faced to land a record deal are briefly discussed in Malcolm Gladwell's 2005 book Blink.')

I listen to the CBC every so often as I skim stations and I heard him singing one night.. Radiohead meets Canada and a nice acoustic guitar
http://www.myspace.com/patrickwatson

Trace Bundy.. lots of acoustic guitar, and any style too http://www.myspace.com/tracebundy

Jenn Grant.. once again driving home, late at night, and I found Jenn Grant on the CBC with the Nova Scotia symphony. Brilliant and timeless. I just realized the theme song for the TV show Heartland is done by her as well. Check out this youtube mix.

I was in Manchester/London for awhile and picked up brilliant artists thanks to Maryn and Chris (why can't I work for Radio 1?)

Jack Penate http://www.myspace.com/jackpenate Ah groovy, Tonight's Today

Gary Go, he opened for Take That when I saw them twice. Brilliant man Go listen to Wonderful.

Daniel Merriweather... Red.. what a voice! I'm in the disco dayshttp://www.myspace.com/danielmerriweather

VV Brown... Shark in the Water a bit more caffeine with this gorgeous voice http://www.myspace.com/vvbrown

Florence and the Machine.. http://www.myspace.com/florenceandthemachine I have no words.. sort of like todays Annie Lennox. Check out Cosmic Love, and You've Got the Love.
